TELL YOUR UK RELATIVES--more UK-USA travel inconvenience ! Starting January 2009, British travellers to the USA will have to register their trop with the American government 72 hours before leaving home.   All visitors from countries on a visa waiver will be forced to tell the Americans they are coming, US Homeland Security announced in August 2008. You would do this through your airline's website or UK travel agent. This new requirement is to allow the US Government more time to vet arriving westerners, because Al-Quada is trying to recruit westerners as potential attackers. They blend in better.    Looks wise, think Betsy from Bognor rather than Achmed from Armenia.
