There are hundreds of small British-owned businesses operating in all Florida cities, but no major British companies actually headquartered here employing British staff.  There are thousands of British professionals, sole proprietorships and entrepreneurs also established here. They work in all types of businesses in all Florida cities. We have a colossal professional presence in Florida, as evidenced by the database maintained by the British Bureau since 1991. There are a few UK companies with a Florida branch, employing mainly Americans and one or two UK Brits on contract. [Example: LLoyds-TSB bank has a branch in Miami but only the boss is British. See Lloyds page on this website].   Most British-owned or operated businesses in Florida are 10 employees or less and/or entrepreneurial. They are not required to register with the British government or other authorities as British-owned and they change/open/close frequently so no current complete lists can ever be available. The British Bureau is the only office in Florida maintaining files on most of them, not shown on this website because it is proprietary information.
