A nationwide association of English people [or Americans of English heritage], whose original members were GI warbrides who moved from the UK. Most members are 50 and over.   • FT. LAUDERDALE: THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION was formed in 1921 to assist and act for all British ex-service personnel, British men and women who fought for us in wars around the world. The Florida branch formed in 1994, is active with many British members, organises the annual Poppy Day Appeal and Remembrance Service in November every year.
