There are hundreds of small British-owned businesses operating inImageforBusinesspage.gif Florida, but no major British companies actually headquartered here. There are thousands of British professionals, sole proprietorships and entrepreneurs also established here. These British residents on US work visa or Green cards work in all types of businesses in all Florida cities. We have a colossal professional presence in Florida, as evidenced by the datbase maintained by the British Bureau sinve 1991.
There are a few UK companies with a Florida branch, employing mainly Americans and one or two UK Brits on contract. Most British-owned or operated businesses in Florida are 10 employees or less and/or entrepreneurial. They are not required to register with the British government or other authorities as British-owned and they change/open/close frequently so no current complete lists can ever be available. The British Bureau is the only office in Florida maintaining files on most of them, not shown on this website because it is proprietary information.
